At the end of World War II, many Americans were looking for a place to take refuge and forget about the calamities of war, and at that time San Miguel was recognized as one of the best tourist attractions in Mexico, even American soldiers already out of service, made sure that the Allende Institute was recognized by the educational services of the United States, so that they and their families could spend long periods in this city.
