Dirty Loops will head to the Festival in Modřany, Prague

They are dubbed Sweden’s best kept secret. The unmistakable trio of Dirty Loops, whose intrusion into the world of world music is so compelling, will premiere in September in Prague. Festival. Audiences at Modřany’s Kytary.cz complex will be treated to eighty minutes of energetic music, which mixes variously groove, funky, pop and electronic music, and is dominated by the voice of singer and vocalist Jonah Nilsson’s extraordinary. The festival, which will run from September 9 to 11, 2022, recently announced, for example, a New Synthesis Radim Hladík concert performance with original members Blue Effect, the Megaton Stars Band or a performance by Ukrainian band Haydamaka. The fifth year of the music event for musicians and music fans will again expand the presentation of musical instruments, seminars, discussions, musician workshops or fair sections. Initially there were classmates from music school Jonah Nilsson (vocals/keyboards), Henrik Linder (bass guitar) and Aron Mellergardh (drums) and the famous hit “Just Dance” by Lady Gaga, which a group of boys from Stockholm recorded for fun. Within two months, the video hit 100,000 views on YouTube without any ads, and then it went fast. Another viral cover by Justin Bieber, Adele or Justin Timberlake caught the attention of some of today’s biggest music names, until Canadian producer David Foster signed with them and sent them on a world tour. There, Dirty Loops has gained new fans as well as music celebrity fans, including names like Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Adam Levine, Dallas Austin, Rodney Jerkins, Brian McKnight and Avicia. And it was David Foster who helped Dirty Loops to be reborn into their own repertoire. The result was the twelve-track debut album “Loopified”, which represented a quantum leap from a creative cover band to a band that wrote inventive and infectious original pop songs. “I think our sound can be described as fusion pop. It’s a mix between everything we heard when we were growing up, and now,” Jonah explains, noting that when he grew up with classical music and the chorus, the group’s main collective influences were Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and the Pat Metheny Group. After all, the combination of funky and R&B, set in a wild and captivating rhythmic plot, is the main element that makes the Swedish trio captivate fans around the world and will be heard by Festival-goers alike. “Our goal is to keep growing, see no boundaries in music, and still have fun. I think if you do something you really believe in, other people will believe in it too.” pulled Jonah to the concert. Grade five Festival will take place from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 September at the Kytary.cz complex in Modřany, opposite the famous graffiti wall. All concerts will be complemented by exciting instrument presentations, seminars, discussions and workshops from renowned musicians. The fair share of the event also extends to organizers, including exclusive instrument fairs or news demonstrations for DJs and producers. “We’ll see limited editions or news from brands of various musical instruments and equipment that you don’t normally see in the Czech Republic,” describes Kytary.cz marketing director Filip erný.
