New episode of ICT Norway podcast “Digital dilemmas”

The podcast “Digital dilemmas” is about dilemmas that arise at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and politics. Episode 6 is about the relationship between digital sovereignty and mineral deposits in the North Sea.

The podcast host is Mali Hole Skogen, Director of Technology and Sustainability at ICT Norway. Every week, he invites leading experts on exciting topics in the tech world to talk about the “Digital Dilemma.”

Because it is precisely about the digital dilemma, we also don’t have to choose as an organization, or as some members of ICT Norway, we don’t have to agree with one and all. Opinion-sharing and civilized conversation about difficult matters is always a good thing.

Episode 6 of “Digital Dilemmas” is all about the strangest – and most irrelevant – of how mineral extraction on the seafloor in the North Atlantic has anything to do with Norway’s digital sovereignty. Join in on a journey into the world of the mineral empire and an immersive conversation about the possible climatic and environmental consequences of mineral extraction and what dilemmas they might pose.

In the new episode participate Torgeir Water Housepartners at Otte, and Egil Tjland, Head of the Department of Geoscience and Petroleum at NTNU and Secretary General of the Norwegian Forum for Marine Minerals.

We release a new episode of “Digital Dilemma” every Thursday through the summer.
