A new animated fairy tale for the whole family is now in cinemas, which will entertain audiences young and old. If you like Oscar Wilde’s short stories Canterville Hunter, You definitely shouldn’t miss this film. The story takes you to an ancient English castle, where mind-blowing things happen… For three centuries, Sir Simon de Canterville haunted his home on Canterville Chase and had a great time doing it. However, one day, a modern American family moves into his estate, and the ghost is not easily intimidated.

That’s when the struggle for the position of host began, accompanied by humor and crazy events. Will Sir Simon succeed in banishing the unwanted visitor from his home even though the good old saying no longer applies to him? Director duo Kim Burdon and Robert Chandler are behind the animated fairy tale adaptation of the book of the same name by Oscar Wilde. Robert Chandler, among others, was the producer of the successful animated film The Amazing Maurice from the workshop of director Terry Pratchett. The premiere of the new film will take place on October 26. The film was distributed in the Czech Republic by Bohemia Motion Pictures.

Follow the wizards and witches at Hogwarts

At the Westfield Chodov shopping center in Prague, you can still do some last-minute browsing today artistic interpretations of iconic locations from the popular Harry Potter film series. Karol and Kvído at the Lucie Bílá Theatre

In September, the new author’s CD of the children’s music duo Karol and Kvído was unveiled. Karol, or singer Karolina Neuvirthová, adored by children, is the main star of the new theater play called Karol and Kvído: The adventure begins. Pumpkin exhibit at Troja Botanical Garden

The Troja Botanical Garden in Prague has prepared a very popular pumpkin exhibition, which you can visit until October 31st. The exhibition will take visitors as far as Asia, and its vision will again encompass giant pumpkin (its size remains a mystery for now). The display of pumpkins in various colors, sizes and shapes will be accompanied by interactive elements and games with pumpkins. The pumpkin decorations prepared by the students of the Czech Horticulture Academy Mělník will remind you of the culture of various corners of Asia. Dragons, geisha, rickshaws, Himalayan peaks, lanterns and other motifs will be on display.

Fairytale tour of the castle in Náchod

Fun castle, that’s the motto of the popular event for children at Náchod castle. This weekend and next weekend you have the last chance, before the end of the season, to visit the castle and take a fairy tale tour around the castle. Together with the ladies-in-waiting, chambermaids or maids You and your children can go on an unusual adventure, which can meet you at the ducal palace in Náchod! An interactive tour is set up for young visitors, where children, together with costumed guides, complete small tasks to be handled by servants in the Duke’s Palace and learn how things work at Náchod Castle under the guidance of Peter Biron, father of “Mrs. Princess” of Babička. Merkur equipment museum: a paradise for all boys (and dads)

Merkur’s legendary metal equipment museum can be found in Polici nad Metují. This is a truly unique place You will get to know the history and present of this authentic Czech equipment, one of the most famous toys for children. The oldest equipment from the 1920s is also on display, but they have not forgotten the most modern trends, such as working with virtual reality. You’ll get a close-up look at the largest building ever built from this kit, called “Steel City” by builder Jiří Mládek, inspired by Jules Verne’s novel of the same name.

In the Museum you will also find the giant Merkur railway station “O” in scale 1:45 or the Petřín lookout tower. But you don’t have to just watch, you can let your creativity run wild and try create your own work.
