Kristoff crashes in Croatia – retaining 3rd overall
After two consecutive third places, Alexander Kristoff was overtaken before the sprint on the 3rd leg of the Cro Race bicycle race. Nevertheless, he retained 3rd place overall.
Kristoff finished in 47th place and was 1.17 minutes behind the winner. He then entered the list, but moments later the judges decided that he should be awarded at the same time as the winner.
Italy’s Nicolo Parisini was the best in the sprint after the 133.5 kilometer stage from Otocac to Opatija. He won ahead of Danish DSM rider Tobias Lund Andresen, who took over the leader’s jersey.

The race ends on Sunday. The Uno-X team is competing to maintain third place among the teams at the ProTeam level (level two). This will ensure participation in all five monuments and other one-day trips on next year’s world tour calendar.
Torstein Træen was the best Uno-X rider on Thursday with 23rd place, four seconds behind the closest group of nine. In short, Jonas Gregaard is now the team’s best player with 10th ranking.
