The border between Poland and Belarus has long been under special surveillance, and now the situation is tense again. The largest foreign media are also paying close attention.

They pointed out that the strengthening of forces on the Polish side came at a time when Belarus was conducting military exercises near its borders with Poland and Lithuania.
Reuters reminded that in recent months, Poland has recorded an increase in the number of migrants, especially from the Middle East and Africa, trying to cross the border. “For two years, Poland has accused Belarus of recruiting migrants from poor countries and sending them illegally across the border to fuel instability,” the agency warned.
The Financial Times quoted, among others: Deputy Minister of Interior and Administration Maciej Wąsik as explaining this additional troops will strengthen the activities of the second border guard in the province. Podlaskie, as well as in the province Lublin Province.
According to the deputy minister, the army will reach the border on time two weeks ahead. He emphasized that pressure on the Polish-Belarusian alliance is increasing, although not compared to two years ago. As he pointed out, all attempts to illegally cross the border are currently organized and prepared by the Belarusian services.
When asked whether requesting support from allies was being considered, the deputy minister assured that it was not necessary.
