Many people act as if they have no health problems. They only deal with it when it’s too late, even though prevention is very important. And this was the focus of the first Health Day held in the courtyard of Na Františku Hospital.
“Prevention in general is a little weak in our country. “In individual stands, we carry out the prevention of prostate cancer, breast cancer and colorectal cancer, as well as the prevention and detection of diabetes,” said the director of Na Františku Hospital, David Erhart.
“We have nutritional therapists here, then we also have physiotherapists and occupational therapists here who advise people on how to relieve back pain. “After that, we also had an accompanying program from the Czech Republic Police, there was the participation of special order units and also inspections of police vehicles,” explained Lenka Krausová, press spokesperson for Na Františku Hospital.
Health Day was held with the support of the Prague 1 district, which founded the Na Františka Hospital. Mayor of Prague 1, Mrs. Radoměřská, especially appreciated the humanitarian approach relied on by this hospital.
“They say that the human approach is basically half the cure. “The psychological side of patients is increasingly taken into account and I am very happy that we are trying to do this well in our hospitals,” said the mayor of Prague 1 district, Terezie Radoměřská (TOP 09).
“We are happy with events like this and at the same time of course we take advantage of this to help us make Na Františku Hospital more aware of the public so that they know what they can undergo. examinations, how well they can be treated here and how they can help appropriately in prevention,” concluded Prague City District Councilor Michal Müller (ODS).
Na Františku Hospital wants to continue Health Days in the coming years. Doctors and nurses are well aware that we only have one health, and an emphasis on prevention can often prevent the development of serious illnesses that are then followed by complex treatments.
