The flag of the Czech municipality of Sokol flies over the Pilsen Region Regional Office building. The Czech gymnasium was founded 161 years ago and is still dedicated to the versatility of sports, culture and sports.

The flag raising was preceded by a reception of important guests at the regional office and a discussion about the role, importance and activities of eagles in the Pilsen region. The event was attended by the Governor of Pilsen Region, Rudolf Špoták, Deputy for Regional Development, IT and European Affairs, Petr Vanka, as well as Miroslav Kroc, Mayor of “Sokol Rokycanovy Region”, Iva Bartovská, Mayor of “Sokol Region Pilsen Region” and other gymnasium representatives.

His post commemorates Falconry Memorial Day which falls on Sunday, October 8. The anniversary of Sokolstva became an important day of the Czech Republic in 2019. This year marks the 82nd anniversary of the acting Reich Protector Reinhard Heydrich initiating the de facto liquidation of the village of Sokolská on the night of 7-8 October 1941, he dissolved the village and its property was officially confiscated.
