Strand Larsen accepts award – surprised during acceptance speech
For the first time in his career, Jørgen Strand Larsen was named Celta Vigo’s player of the month. In his acceptance speech to his fans, he had a surprise.
The Norwegian national team profile has been awarded the Estrella Galicia prize for September as the best player of Celta Vigo. It was the fans who chose him as the winner.
Strand Larsen played 259 minutes for the club team last month and scored two goals. They came against Almeria and Barcelona themselves.
In a video posted on Celta’s media channels, Strand thanked Larsen for the award and pointed out that he has mastered Spanish. In addition, the Norwegians surprised us with some words in Galician, a language spoken in several regions of Spain, one of which is Vigo.
– Thank you very much for this award and always supporting us, said Strand Larsen.
– I know the start of the season is not very good, but we will win more games and enjoy good moments with this team, he added.
Strand Larsen has three league goals so far this season. The third and final goal came against Getafe earlier this month.
Celta Vigo only have Granada and Almeria behind them in the table after ten rounds of the league. (NTB)
