Kane continued his streak of scoring goals
Harry Kane (30) led Bayern Munich to another win and three straight wins in the Champions League. He decided the 3-1 away tie against Galatasaray with a goal and an assist.
Kingsley Coman took advantage of Galatasaray’s weak defense when he scored the lead after just eight minutes.
Mauro Icardi equalized with a Panenka penalty after being fouled himself. The home team thoroughly deserved a draw in the first half after fresh attacking play. On one occasion, Bayern goalkeeper Sven Ulreich made a top class save.
In the second half, Bayern took more control of the game as the match progressed. Galatasaray had four defenders in the box against Kane, but he managed to put the ball into the net at the second attempt after 73 minutes.
Not long after, Kane added 3-1 to the score, which Jamal Musiala improved from ten meters away.
Kane has scored eleven goals in his first twelve games at Bayern Munich. He left Tottenham this summer.
The lead-up to the match was marked by street fights between supporters of the two clubs in downtown Istanbul several hours before kick-off. At least five people were injured, according to local media.
Manchester United face FC Copenhagen tonight in the same group. The game starts at 9 p.m.
