Hołownia’s surprising idea. Not only does the Chairman of the Sejm rotate, but the government rotates! – Super Express

Hołownia is thinking about the presidency

This has never happened before in Polish politics, or even the world. It has been known for some time that as part of the negotiations between the Civic Coalition, the Third Way and the New Left, the idea emerged to entrust the functions of Chairman of the Sejm first to Szymon Hołownia, one of the leaders of the Third Way. For the next two years, the leader of the New Left, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, would serve as marshal. According to political scientist, Prof. Rafał Chwedoruk, Hołownia is preparing to run for presidentwhich is why he is so eager to prove himself in his new role.

The interested party himself confirmed in “One on One” on TVN24 that his candidacy for Chairman of the Sejm was “ready”. However, according to Hołownia, The rotation should include not only the Chairman of the Sejmbut also other public functions.

PSL doesn’t want a rotating Chairman of the Sejm? Not everyone likes the idea…

Rotating government, but one prime minister

– Due to the fact that this is, to some extent, a period of transition, as we are moving from the cemented state of PiS to normal reality. This cannot be done in one step, it must be done in two steps or three steps. Perhaps this term will have several defined stages, for example through elections – said the founder of Poland 2050 and added that he wants a “rotation of the system”. Surprisingly, Szymon Hołownia also realized that the system he proposed was dangerous. – In principle, this is a bad idea because it disempowers the person performing the functionbecause it is known that he can already feel the breath of the next person who reviews him from behind – said the politician in the program “One on One”.

Hołownia was asked whether, in his opinion, job rotation should also be applied to the government. – That’s as it should be, but no one should give that view to the Prime Minister. You can’t put someone behind his back to review it (…). The Prime Minister must be the leader throughout his term, no matter who he is. That’s what tenure is for, the politician said.
