Vinohrady in Prague is the twenty-eighth best neighborhood in the world. This follows a ranking of “cool” neighborhoods published by international magazine Time Out. Respondents evaluated social and social life, access to urban nature and greenery, thriving life in public spaces, as well as food, entertainment and culture.
This district has been included in the ranking before, last year it was replaced by Letná. The magazine appreciates Vinohrady, for example, for its diverse business offerings, but also for Náměstí Míru and Náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrady.
He tells readers that Vinohrady consists of steep streets, where they will find cafes, pubs and various restaurants with Czech and international cuisine.
To visit, Time Out recommends visiting certain places, such as Vinohradský pivovar, Lokál Korunní, or Cafefin. The editors recommend visiting the aforementioned Peace Square during Advent, when popular markets are held there.
The magazine mentions that there are many green spaces in Vinohrady, such as Rieger Park, which offers stunning views of the historic center.
“Once again it has been confirmed that Vinohrady is a great place to live, where rich history is combined with a modern way of life. There is no shortage of culture, entertainment, places to relax or local cafes and restaurants. But our neighborhood is mostly inhabited by humans. It is citizens, entrepreneurs and artists who create Vinohrady’s unique atmosphere and have a big hand in its success. In short and well, our hearts beat for Dvojka,” said the Mayor of Prague 2, Jan Korseska (ODS), about the high ranking.
“We who live here have known this for a long time. The best place to do business, relax, have fun, just to live. “Thank you to everyone who, with their daily work, makes Vinohrady a pleasant neighborhood to live in,” said Korseska’s predecessor and now Deputy Mayor Alexandra Udženija (ODS).
