OUR NEWS. There will be no Donald Tusk speech at the EP session!

Information obtained by the wPolitce.pl portal shows that there are many doubts regarding Donald Tusk’s planned speech in the European Parliament in the context of the situation in Poland. The EKR group co-chair noted that, given the current situation in Poland, special care should be taken when extending an invitation to Donad Tusk.

As wPolityce.pl learned, the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, informed the heads of the EP factions about the planned presence of guests during the upcoming plenary session of the European Parliament.

Metsola announced in a statement that it had also sent an invitation to Prime Minister Donald Tusk to deliver a speech at the January plenary session, but he was unable to participate.

Be careful

The deputy chairman of the Group of European Conservatives and Reformists in the European Parliament, Nicola Proccacini, expressed a critical opinion on behalf of his group in the context of an invitation addressed to Prime Minister Donald Tusk. He stated that – taking into account the current situation in Poland – we need to be careful if there is an invitation addressed to the Polish Prime Minister.

None of the European party leaders commented on Nicola Proccacini’s remarks.
