The modern laboratory has been operating for one year Health | News | Budějská Drbna

The central laboratory of České Budějovice Hospital has undergone more than a year of routine operation of the fully automated analytical line in the clinical chemistry laboratory, thus completing another important step towards the implementation of the Central Laboratory Equipment Modernization program.

The project is supported by funding from the European Union, specifically the South West Regional Operational Programme. České Budějovice Hospital invested 57 million crowns in the modernization of laboratory technological equipment, while about 90 percent of this amount was covered by European subsidies.

For České Budějovice Hospital, this project represents the largest technological investment in the central laboratory in recent years.

“Routine operations went smoothly. This is a significant step that places us among the most technologically advanced laboratories in the Czech Republic, capable of carrying out multidisciplinary laboratory tests in a highly productive and sophisticated manner. “At the same time, preparations for accreditation procedures have also begun so that the accreditation process can be completed by the end of this year,” said MUDR. Miroslav Verner, director of the Laboratory Department at České Budějovice Hospital.

To meet these workplace accreditation requirements, the hospital invested an additional five million crowns this year from its own resources to retrofit equipment.
