Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is a strategic RPG mixed with logical puzzles, which you first encountered in 2009 on the Nintendo DS and later in an HD remastered version on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. But we think it’s currently gaining its greatest momentum on mobile devices, because it’s a perfect fit. The game seems to be made directly for touchscreens and combines the best of the Nintendo DS and HD versions.

Entertainment for dozens of hours

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes offers a massive campaign with over 20 hours of playtime and a great story set in the Might & Magic franchise. You will gradually play as all races fight against the coming of the demonic army. However, you will spend most of your time in action on the battlefield. During the clash, you control a large army of colorful soldiers consisting of various units by race and classification, ranging from knights, archers, elves, dragons, skeletons, to ents and angels.

Principles of battle

The battlefield is divided into two parts. You are always on the bottom side of the campaign. You attack with a combination of three units of the same type and color. If you connect the units horizontally, you create a defensive fortress, and if you connect them vertically, you create an offensive formation. The game also features elite units such as unicorns or heavy cavalry, which when combined with two units of the same color will form a powerful attack. As the last and most powerful units, there are champions, namely dragons, trees and others, working on the same principle, only you need four soldiers of the same color to create their attack.

You will also use your strategic and logical skills a lot on the battlefield, because creating several offensive or defensive formations in one move will give you additional move bonuses. The formed formations always attack after a few turns, so it’s fun to plan and attack a few moves ahead, you also need to pay attention to your opponent and react to his moves. After each battle, experience points will be added to your character and units.

If you manage to find other players who like this game, you can play two multiplayer modes simultaneously on one device. The first one is called “hand over and play” is suitable, for example, for a school desk, when you can play and hand the device to your classmate. The second mode is called “face to face” and it means sitting with your opponent in front of you and immersing yourself in a fantasy world.

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is one of the best strategy RPG games on Android, and we can’t fault it. In the game you will find a huge fantasy world with an intricate story. In its own way, the game is unique, the combat is fun and makes you dizzy here and there. So if you are looking for something unconventional and intelligent, do not hesitate. Another interesting thing is that the game is completely in Czech, so you can enjoy the story to the fullest even without having to master English. Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is not one of the cheapest games, but it deserves 115 crowns for its very extensive and high-quality gameplay.
