Energy awarded with Silver CSR Leaf

Polityka’s weekly CSR leaflet has been handed over for the eleventh time to companies that follow sustainable development principles in their activities. Energy from the ORLEN Group, which received the Silver Leaf, was also among the recipients of the award.

Silver Leaf CSR POLITYKA– they accept companies certifying that they take into account all major solutions of the ISO 26000 standard in their day-to-day operations. These companies often rely on best local and global management practices and apply international standards. In addition, an important element of their management is an ethical management system and the highest standards of personnel management. They regularly inform stakeholders about the impact of their activities, including in non-financial or integrated reports prepared according to international data disclosure standards.

For Energa, which has implemented the prestigious EMAS environmental management system for many years, and obtains an increasing ESG rating every year, reference to the ISO 26000 guideline is a natural consequence of following the principle of continuous improvement. It also makes it easier for us to take actions that contribute to sustainable development. The awards we received again became additional motivation for us to develop in this field say dr Alina Skorb-Gała, head of the Department of Energy’s ESG.

This year, goals related to climate (SDG 13), responsible consumption (SDG 12), and social activities to support Ukraine became important. The overview of activities covers the year 2021, and in the areas of projects supporting Ukraine 2022.
