National team deal in a box for Klæbo: – Things are not signed yet, but we agree

It has been more than a month since Klæbo and the Norwegian Ski Association agreed verbally to continue cooperation. Tough negotiations are required. Now the contract has been signed by the ski association.

Klæbo demands, among other things, to have its own lubricant, etc. in the national team support equipment. The kink was resolved a little over a week ago. After that, the Klæbo camp signaled that an autograph would be “coming soon”.

– Things that have not been signed, but we agree. Dad is in control of all that. “For me, it’s nice to be here to hang out and just exercise, eat and sleep and focus on that,” Klæbo told NTB.

– Now only the signature is missing. If there is anything else in the vicinity then it should be brought with father. It’s not something I know about, said the man from Trndelag.

This is not the first time that Trndelag and the ski association have reached an agreement moments after a set deadline. In 2019, Klæbo first wrote pen on paper on July 9.

– It’s a bit about the practicality of getting it done. “Now I’m here and going straight ahead,” said Klæbo who next Wednesday will head to the Kirkebakken Grand Prix in Hamar.

One of the last things clarified in the agreement was that Klæbo joined Frode Pedersen in the lubrication team. Lubricants are very important to him.

– I don’t want to go into details, but not to hide that Frode is important to me. Just as important as any other lubrication team. The work they do allows us to compete at the level we do. We depend on a lubrication team that works optimally. “They’ve been doing this for a long time, so I’m glad Frode will continue,” said Klæbo.

Klæbo is currently at Sognefjellet. There, the runners of the national team gathered for the first meeting in charge of the World Cup season.
