Jabeur, the current runner-up in the world rankings, won with Czech woman Marie Bouzkova 3:6, 6:1, 6:1, while earlier on Tuesday Maria turned out to be better than compatriot Jule Niemeier 4:6, 6:2 , 7:5.
After other players from the top ten of the world rankings, including leader Iga wiątek, dropped out of the previous round, Jabeur is considered by many to be the favorite of this year’s competition in London.

Promotion to the semifinals is her biggest ever Grand Slam success – she has previously been in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open (2020) and Wimbledon (2021).

She won the semifinals of Wimbledon just 15 months after the birth of her second daughter – Cecylia.
It was Cecilia’s birth that saw her miss three Grand Slam tournaments last year.
