According to the professor, the current government of the Federal Republic of Germany is “weak” and Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s political line is “not much different from that put forward by Angela Merkel”. “In addition, in the last cabinet, Merkel Scholz was vice-chancellor,” he reminded.

He pointed out that looking from the Kremlin’s perspective, “they may just be rubbing their hands, because they see the weakness of the German government.” – They also see various crises and political turning points, either in Great Britain or Italy, where the prime minister has resigned – he added.

Germany is afraid of cutting off gas supplies from Russia
Nord Stream 1 is closed for 10 days on Monday, officially for maintenance. The gas pipeline is scheduled to be closed until July 21, but in Western countries, and especially in Germany, there are concerns that renovations could be used by Russia to completely cut off gas supplies in retaliation for sanctions imposed in connection with the invasion of Ukraine.
The offensive began on February 24 and turned into Europe’s biggest armed conflict since the end of World War II. Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, acknowledged that 60 to 100 Ukrainian soldiers were killed every day in the east of the country, where the fighting is fiercest.
Moscow did not call its actions war, but “special military operations” and demanded that Kiev “demilitarize and de-Nazify” Ukraine. For informing about the situation ahead that is not what the Kremlin wants (e.g. telling the truth about killed Russian soldiers), he can be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison.
