Kmoch’s Cologne is coming. In addition to entertainment, it will bring traffic closures and restrictions

From Friday 1pm to Sunday, the entrance to Karlovo náměstí will be completely closed, e.g. Pražská and Husova Streets, including the entrance from Karlova Street. Replacement parking is provided at the brewery for residents affected by the closure.

On Saturday afternoons, from 1:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., the path through the city will be closed from Water World Kolín to the center, including the intersection with Jaselská Street. A festive procession will pass through the city. The bus stop in the closed section will not operate. The bypass route will take Polepská, Táboritská, ižkova, U Nemocnice and Benešova roads.

The closure will affect bus lines 421, 424, 487, 681, 705 and 706 and city public transport lines 235001, 235501, 235002, 235502, 235010, 235510, 235030 and 235530. Kolín stops – polyclinics, banks, Bezovka dům stops at Masarykova Road will be canceled during closing.

Sunday monster concert

After a break for two years, this year the famous festival (already entering its 57th year) will present various and lively events. The main point of the program is the Sunday monster concert, this year it is divided into blocks. The first part will be performed by orchestras from ternberk, Krnov, Hranice and Ostrava, while the second part will be performed by František Kmoch Kolín Municipal Music and brass bands from Jeseník, Vimperk and Holice. In the third part, everyone remembers František Kmoch together in his most famous melodies, including the most famous, Kolín, Kolín. The solo singer of this year’s monster concert is singer Michal Bragagnolo of the 4 Tenors group.

Foreign guests are also regularly involved in the festival program. Norwegian brass band Hetlevik Musikklag will celebrate its 85th birthday at a Friday night concert in Karlov náměstí. Saturday lunchtime will belong to the Polish orchestra OrkiestraDęta Gmina Dopiewo.

But it will not only be played on the blue and white stage in Charles Square, but also on other festival stages. One of the evenings will traditionally offer Nocturno at the temple of St. Bartholomew. Although it is being renovated, this does not prevent visitors from enjoying the most famous opera arias of baroque music from the opera Rinaldo by composer Georg Friedrich Händel, performed by the student brass band Harmonie ternberk.

The more intimate part of the festival will take place in the synagogue, which will host a concert by two accordion ensembles from Kolín and Kutná Hora on Saturday evening, arias from the operas Rusalka and Hubička will be sung by Uršula Heřmánková and Jiří Vaníček. The Prague Yidis band or the Neplecha plech quintet will also perform here. It will also be played at an evangelical church, where one of the funniest brass bands, the Lovesong orchestra, is ordering Friday night. The Kolín Big Band will not be left behind, whose special guest is Jitka vančarová.

This program is also thinking about non-music fans

Non-bracket concerts are also part of Kmoch’s Kolín. Tata Bojs will provide entertainment on Friday night, while Helena Vondráčková’s performance on Saturday night is sure to attract the attention of the crowd.

The festival also offers a rich companion program. These include a Thursday stroll through town with Mayor Michael Kašpar, Open Street on Kmoch Island, exhibits at the museum, the Waterworks and Powderworks open-air monument, or the opportunity to relax in an oasis of peace on Bartholomew Hill.
