On Monday, temperatures will rise to 26 degrees Celsius in some places, but during the rest of the week it will be much colder and the skies will be cloudy. The first showers and a rare thunderstorm will arrive from the west on Monday evening, Tuesday and Wednesday it will rain across the area, with heavy rain in the belt from Vysočina to Jeseníky. During the rest of the week, the temperature will mostly not exceed 20 degrees, or only slightly.
“Monday will be the warmest day of the week as temperatures rise to summer like 26 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the low pressure trough coupled with a surging cold wave will slowly move across our region to the east. So Tuesday and Wednesday will be days rain with temperatures only around or slightly above 20 degrees,” said the meteorologist.
On Tuesday, forecasts expect cloudy to cloudy, rain or rain in most areas, thunderstorms in some places, maximum temperature somewhere still 24 degrees, in the west only 17 to 21 degrees.
On Tuesday, a strong storm will affect, among other things, the belt from Vysočina to Jeseníky. At night they will turn into heavy rain. It can rain around 40, locally up to 60 millimeters of rainfall. In the second half of the evening on Wednesday, precipitation will weaken, the Czech Institute of Hydrometeorology advises.
Warnings for thunderstorms and heavy rain in effect from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning specifically for the Dačice region of the South Bohemia Region, the eastern part of the Vysočina and Pardubice Region, the western part of the South Moravia and Moravia-Silesia Region, and the northwestern part of the Olomouc Region. According to meteorologists, the storm there may move repeatedly in the same spot on Tuesday afternoon, and then storm activity will turn into heavy rain in the evening.
It will be raining on Wednesday too, the temperature usually won’t exceed 20 degrees, in the evening the rain and cloudiness will begin to decrease. On Thursday, the highest temperature rose to 19 to 23 degrees. On Friday, the sky will gradually become cloudy, it will rain in some places and the temperature will hover around 20 degrees Celsius.
From Saturday to Monday, meteorologists expect mostly cloudy skies, with occasional rain or showers. The highest daily temperatures on the last weekend of May will range from 14 to 19 degrees, at night and in the morning they can drop to three degrees above zero.
