Adam Niedzielski met in Lviv with the Ukrainian Minister of Health, Wiktor Laszko. The purpose of the visit was to donate gifts from Poland. As part of the meeting, Niedzielski visited the Lviv Regional Hospital, where war veterans go. “He spoke with doctors and those injured in military operations about the current needs in the care of patients” – wrote the Polish Ministry of Health on Twitter.
Adam Niedzielski on a visit to Lviv. The flag in one of the rooms caused controversy. “It hurts us to see this flag”
The photos of Adam Niedzielski’s visit to the hospital were also published by the Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadowy. The politician thanked his “Polish colleagues” for their support. However, one of the photos is controversial. It shows Adam Niedzielski talking to hospital staff in one of the rooms occupied by patients. There are two flags on the wall – the Ukrainian flag and the red oneblackused by the Ukrainian Nationalist Organization (OUN).
The OUN flag was noticed, among others, by journalists and public relations. Marcin Torz of “Super Express” wrote to the spokesman for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs ukasz Jasina. “Finally, someone had to explain to Ukraine that we were only hurt by seeing this flag. Either our friends didn’t understand it, or – hopefully – they behaved very unkindly to us, to put it mildly” – wrote the journalist. “You’re not the only one in pain with this symbol,” Jasina replied.
The Ministry of Health also mentioned this matter. “Ladies and gentlemen, that’s not the flag on which the Ukrainian side received Minister Adam Niedzielski. It’s the flag of one of the wounded soldiers in one of the many rooms. We drew the attention of the Ukrainian side and the visit here ended the room” – reports the Ministry of Health.
Ukrainian Nationalist Organization – when was it founded?
This organization was founded in 1929 with the aim of building an independent state with a system similar to totalitarianism. OUN members fought against the Soviets, Romania, and Poland using terrorism, conspiracy and subversion. During this genocide, 50-60 thousand people died. Poland.
