Last weekend Jack Kurski went to Chopin Airport, from where he departed for the United States. The attention of journalists “Facts” is not so much the goal itself, but that which accompanied the former president of Telewizja Polska. As they reported, a black Audi belonging to the State Protection Service drove into the airport terminal twice – the first time when Jacek Kurski came to check in baggage, and the other time when departure time was near. Jacek Kurski will fly first to London, and from that city on a direct flight to Washington.

“Facts” reminded the former president TVP has enjoyed state protection for several years. In November 2020, tvN24 reported that it was given to him by the head of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Administration “for the sake of the country”. This decision was taken because Jacek Kurski would receive threats.

However, according to “Facts”, three months ago neither service received any information or reports of threats, and the police did not carry out any proceedings in relation to the case. Therefore, it is not known why the former president of TVP (who lost his position in September 2022) still enjoys the protection afforded to the most important people in the state. According to “Fakt”, Jacek Kurski promised commentary to the editorial office, but “eventually stopped replying to messages”. SOP also declined to comment on the case.

In December 2022 Jacek Kurski began work as Executive Director of Alternative Swiss-Polish World Bank Group Constituent Assembly in Washington. “In addition to Poland and Switzerland, it includes: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Mr Jacek Kurski’s candidacy for the position of Alternative Executive Director was proposed by the President of the NBP as Governor of the Republic of Poland at the World Bank.

“Let me make it clear: I took a job commensurate with my education and managerial experience as an alternative executive director at the World Bank, knowing that this would mean resigning from some public activities or political ambitions. I always thought there was no life outside of politics. Yes, right. I know that I will also be useful here” – wrote Jacek Kurski Twitter.
