Not only is the Indian youth the world record holder, according to the server, he also received a scholarship at the American Harvard University.
Jakhar built an app on a cellphone his father bought for 10,000 rupees (about three thousand crowns) during the coronavirus pandemic so he could take online classes.
However, the boy did more with the phone than most of his peers. He started watching instructional videos on the YouTube video portal on how to build a mobile app. And it didn’t take long before the first was born.
“I made three applications. One for general knowledge called Lucent GK online, another for coding and graphic design called Ram Kartik Learning Centre, and the third named Shri Ram Kartik Digital Education. This app is currently providing free education to more than 45,000 students,” said Jakhar.
It is also resistant to power outages
As he stated himself, during the development of the application he faced many problems both with the phone and related to power outages.
But he never gave up and despite the difficulties he continued until everything was according to his ideas.
“I ask the government to help my son develop more apps. He is an extraordinary talent and I want him to serve the nation in digital technology. Our town often experiences power outages, but his enthusiasm is so great that he overcomes all crises,” said the boy’s father, who makes his living as a farmer.
