The doors of the family business were closed to guests three weeks ago due to an energy crisis. Now lovers of Alpine gastronomy have been hit by the news of the death of popular chef and owner Ludwig Westerair, who was visited by world stars for a culinary experience.
The Westerair couple made the tough decision to close their popular business at the end of September. “Due to the current reality, which is radically and unmistakably liquidating us (input prices: energy, gas, food, etc.), our family restaurant announced the end of operations. We will continue our activities until the end of October.” he wrote on his Facebook profile at the time Ludwig Westerair.
However, the unfortunate event did not end in sadness due to the collapse of the restaurant with honest home cooking. The famous owner and chef himself didn’t live to see a restaurant close completely at the age of sixty-one. According to Westerair, her husband’s death was also due to accumulated stress. “It turns out that his heart can’t accept the events of the last few years and the story is closed, even though I begged him to come back,” he explained in a sensitive tone.
