On August 26th, the International Air Show in Radom will begin. The first such incident occurred in Poland in five years. The most important question is of course what planes and helicopters we will see there. On Saturday at 9:30 a.m., the Defense24 website will begin live coverage.
Traditionally, the Polish Air Force would make a rich appearance there, showing off almost all types of its aircraft. Flight training will be represented by PZL-130 Orlik and M-346 Bielik. There will also be a full overview of combat machines: multi-role F -16, MiGi-29 fighters and old Su-22 bombers. We will see the latter at the exhibition, perhaps for the last time, but we will see its successor – the FA-50 light fighter. One of the machines is to bring it air capability and another will be exhibited at the static exhibition. The helicopters that are still in service range from the fine Mi-2 kettle to the latest AW101 sea helicopter.
There will be many foreign aviation representatives. A total of three F-16s will be shown in the air in individual aerobatics shows: Belgium, Denmark and Greece. A number of aerobatic teams will perform, including the legendary Patroulee Suisse on the Northrop F-5E Tiger II aircraft.
A static exhibition will also be interesting, where neighboring countries such as Lithuania, Slovakia, Germany and Croatia will showcase their helicopters and transport planes. A competitor to the German P-3 Orion and A400 Atlas is the American KC-135 Stratotanker aerial refueling aircraft on the ground.
The modern equipment exhibition will be accompanied by historical exhibitions, among others, we will see the P-51D Mustang, TS-11 Iskra, Lim-5, SB-Lim-2 fighter aircraft which are unique in the world, namely the Polish version. MiG-15UTI and MiG-17 fighters.
