Alexander Łuczak is dead
Aleksander Łuczak, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, longtime member of the Polish People’s Party, has died. His death was announced on Twitter by the head of PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Luczak is 79 years old. – A farmer and scientist who has always been guided by the good of Poland and other peoples – wrote Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Aleksander Łuczak, a Polish People’s Party politician, dies. The chairman announced his death on social media PSL Wladysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Łuczak died at the age of 79. “Alexander Łuczak died at the age of 79. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Education, long term member of parliament. A farmer and scientist who has always been guided by the goodness of Poland and others. I extend my most sincere condolences to his family and loved ones“- wrote the leader of the PSL on Twitter.
Who is Aleksander Łuczak?
Alexander Luczak born on September 10, 1943 in Legionowo. He is a PSL politician and historian, professor of humanities. He was a member of the PSL from 1990 to 2001. For many years he sat on the parliament bench – from 1989 to 2001. In 1988-1990 Aleksander Łuczak is the undersecretary of educationand then from 1993 to 1995 head of the education office. At the same time in 1993-1996 he is vice president of the Council of Ministers. In 2003-2005 he is deputy chairman of the National Broadcasting Council. He is an MP to the Sejm from 1989 to 2001
Aleksander Łuczak is also the chancellor of the TWP University of Information Technology and Economics in Olsztyn, lecturer in the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw, specialist in the history of peasant parties. From 1997 to 2000, he was president of the World Scout Parliamentary Union.
Łuczak received the following awards:
- Cross of the Officers of the Order of Polonia Restituta,
- Cross of the Knights of the Order of Polonia Restituta,
- Golden Cross of Merit,
- Merit Bronze Cross.
