ULLEVAAL STADIUM (Dagbladet): Alexander Sørloth has completed his second season in Spanish football on loan at Real Sociedad.

The season just ended with an impressive 12 league goals, 4th place and playing in the Champions League secured for next season.

Sørloth lives in the Basque town with his girlfriend Lena Selnes.

Ahead of the season, he was also visited by Norway’s biggest cross-country skiing star, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo. Yang came to Spain to visit his girlfriend Pernille Døsvik, former cross-country runner Niklas Dyrhaug and girlfriend Frida Martinsen.

Both Klæbo and Sørloth have shared photos of the trip on social media, which Sørloth says was planned for a long time.

– They’re good friends. I have known Niklas for years, our boyfriends have known each other for years. It’s fun to knock them out. San Sebastián is a fantastic city, so it’s nice to show it off, explains Sørloth.

The cross-country star should also look out for Trønder’s team-mates in the match at Anoeta.

– It’s great to show that side too, but it’s what happened on the outside that you remember the most. We ate lots of good food, hugged and explored the city, said the striker.

He is expected to start in a top trio alongside another star, Erling Braut Haaland, in the EC qualifier against Scotland on Saturday.

A Haaland who last weekend helped win the Champions League against Inter with Manchester City, securing three wins. Furthermore, celebrations over several days have often been discussed.

– It’s not something I follow that much. Happy to have her meet then all as usual, Sørloth smiled hysterically.

The physically strong forward is set for a tough encounter with the Scottish side, who had the perfect start to qualifying with two straight wins.

– Scotland is a very physical team. I suspect the duels in the match will be very important. There will be lots of tackles and head-to-head duels, so we need to focus on getting our game going, Sørloth concluded.
