Construction of the 187 km long dam on the Polish-Belarusian border is nearing completion. The Commander-in-Chief of the Border Guard, General Tomasz Praga, informed last week that the work should be completed by July 15. The Border Guard Commander argued during a meeting of the parliamentary committee on internal affairs and administration that the effects of the investment were already visible. During a speech in New York, the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s Central Bureau of Multilateral Diplomacy, Irina Wieliczko, asked Warsaw to tear down the wall, notifying the state-owned Belarusian BełTA agency.
