Biden is afraid of World War III. He changed his mind on this issue regarding Ukraine

According to officials quoted by ABC News, ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile System) missiles will likely be included in the next weapons package for Ukraine. – They are coming – said one of the TV interlocutors on Friday. However, he noted that a final decision had not yet been taken. The second said that a decision was “under discussion,” although he added that approval could take months.

Will the US send ATACMS missiles soon? Ukraine has been asking for it for a long time

ATACMS is a ballistic missile fired from HIMARS and M270 MLRS rocket artillery launchers with a range of up to 300 km. The items have been on Ukrainians’ wish lists for more than a year, but the Joe Biden administration has so far refused to deliver them.

President Biden himself said last fall that he did not want Ukraine to be able to hit targets on Russia with them and start World War III. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley explained that the United States has too few of these missiles. However, there was a change in approach this summer. Biden said in July at the end of the NATO summit in Vilnius that he was considering providing these weapons to Ukraine.

Since the spring, Ukraine’s armed forces have had missiles of similar range and destructive power in the form of the British Storm Shadow air-to-ground missile and the French SCALP missile. However, they were launched from Ukrainian aircraft.
