The Wimbledon tournament for Casper Ruud is over, after losing in the second round of the prestigious tournament. Frenchman Ugo Humbert ended up being too strong for the Norwegian, and won 3-1 in sets.
Ruud, who is ranked sixth in the world and the third seed in the tournament, was the favorite in the second round. The Frenchman is ranked 112 in the world
It was the first time the Norwegian had reached the second round of a Wimbledon tournament.
Best opened
Once again, the tennis match had to be postponed due to rain. But after about an hour of waiting, the fight finally started.
Then Ruud who opened the best game, and the Norwegian won the first set with a 6-3 recipe.
The second set started to be more challenging, and at 1-1, Humbert broke his serve. Thus, Ruud had to do the work of turning the set. He failed, and he lost the second set.
In the third set, the match started very promisingly, with Ruud leading 3-0 on one point. But after a few weak rounds, the Norwegian lost 5-7, and thus suddenly Humbert took the lead.
Lost in the fourth set
In the fourth set, 3-2 to Ruud, the Norwegian had several chances to break the Frenchman but Humbert came back and leveled it at 3-3.

Humbert fought well into the game again after thwarting Ruud’s break, and instead managed to break the Norwegian himself at 4-4. Then all that was left was to serve up a win for the Frenchman, which he did well.
