00:01. Zelensky: Since the beginning of June, Russia has dropped more than 2,400 guided bombs on Ukraine

Since early June, Russian forces have dropped more than 2,400 guided bombs on Ukraine, including about 700 on Kharkiv, the country’s second-largest city, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video address.

The leader called on Western allies to provide promised military assistance to Ukraine “without delay so that the agreement we have reached with (US) President Joe Biden can be implemented.”

On Saturday evening, the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office announced that three people were killed and 52 injured, including three children, in an attack on Kharkov carried out earlier in the day by Russian forces. The head of Kharkiv Oblast authorities, Oleh Syniehubov, said the four injured people were in serious condition.

The previous number of fatalities was three people who died and at least 25 people were injured.

Synehubov said only civilian infrastructure was damaged in the attack: houses, public transport stops, shops.

Photos published online showed the ruins of a five-story residential building, with broken windows and destroyed balconies.
