00:01.Prosecutor: Russia fired 24 missiles produced in North Korea into Ukraine

Russian forces fired at least 24 North Korean-made ballistic missiles during attacks on Ukraine, most likely Kn-23/24, Ukrainian Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin said on Friday.

In total, from December 30, 2023 to February 7, 2024, the enemy carried out at least 12 attacks on seven regions of Ukraine using this type of missile.

– said Kostin.

According to him, the missiles attacked by North Korea included Zaporozhye, Kiev, Kharkov in northeastern Ukraine and towns and villages in Kirovohrad Oblast in the central part of the country.

This shooting killed 14 civilians and injured more than 70 people

– he informed.

The most massive attack with this type of missile was carried out on February 7. North Korean missiles then hit Kiev (one missile), Pavlohrad in Dnepropetrovsk Oblast and Kharkov (two missiles each). However, the rockets did not hit any targets.

The largest number of civilian casualties was the attack on Kharkov on January 2, which killed three people and injured 64.

These rackets have different marking numbers. There are symbols on it that may indicate Korean origin. They also differ (from Russian) in the nature and degree of damage (funnel size, method of operation) and the specifics of the flight trajectory. This rocket also has a larger diameter than similar Russian or Soviet models

– Kostin explained.

The maximum range of this missile is – according to him – 650 km.

According to preliminary data, the shooting was carried out from the Voronezh region of Russia
