“I accept the position of chairman of the parliamentary club with great humility and respect. I am fully aware that I have a task ahead of me, which will certainly not be easy. With so many political entities in the current Chamber of Deputies, negotiations between parties and efforts to find a common compromise are extremely challenging. However, I believe that the legal profession has equipped me with a lot of patience and calm, which are qualities that will certainly be useful when communicating with coalition and opposition representatives,” said the newly elected chairman of the People’s Party’s parliamentary club, Aleš Dufek.
“When I decided to accept the party’s offer to run for Minister of Agriculture, my further work in the leadership of the parliamentary club was no longer an option. Likewise, I am also no longer active in parliamentary committees. I am confident that I am leaving the management of the club in good hands. “Nevertheless, I will continue to carry out my mandate as an ordinary deputy carefully,” said People’s Deputy Marek Výborný.
“Aleš Dufek is a capable manager with many years of experience in municipal, regional and, in this election period, national politics, and as a lawyer he is naturally able to resolve conflicts with a calm head and respect for the other side. He worked successfully as deputy mayor of the city of Zlín and as a representative at regional level.” concluded Minister of Labor and Social Affairs and Chair of KDU-ČSL Marian Jurečka.
