There are also historical pieces in the residential area, where a number of important figures, presidents, actors and dangerous criminals lived.

Strašnice is one of the oldest residential districts to be systematically constructed. With the construction of tram lines during the First Republic of Czechoslovakia, they became a welcome residential area for the middle class. The architecture was diverse after the First World War.
