Donald Tusk fully surrendered to the Federal Republic of Germany regarding works of art stolen by Germany during World War II – RadioMaryja.pl

Law and Justice politicians warn that the government has liquidated the department responsible for recovering works of art stolen by Germany during World War II. Opposition politicians point to the handover of power in political history.

During World War II, Germany took more than half a million works of art from Poland.

– Those who deal with this say that half a million is easy to prove, when in fact there are about 1.5 million works of art – PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński pointed this out.

Jarosław Kaczyński speaks with satisfaction about the activities of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage during the PiS government aimed at recovering stolen works of art.

A special department was set up for this purpose, but now – according to media reports – it has been liquidated.

This information was also confirmed on the X platform by the former Minister of Culture, Prof. Piotr Gliński.

“Two pieces of information from the Tusk state police: they have just disbanded the department for the restitution of cultural property, which fought for the return of looted works of art. And they withdrew from the construction of the Battle of Warsaw monument that we led. Two Tusk gifts – to Germany and Putin… // Prof. Piotr Gliński, MP, PiS, Minister of Culture and National Heritage 2015-2023” – wrote Prof. Piotr Gliński.

The PiS president again used the term “external parties” to refer to the Civic Platform, concluding that Donald Tusk’s group fits the German scenario.

– This is the implementation of the German option. The Germans do not want anything taken away from them so that they do not lose it, but they also do not want it because they do not want to be reminded of what they are like, how bad their moral security is. No nation is so burdened – Jarosław Kaczyński emphasized.

You can find out that the Department for the Restoration of Cultural Property, which had only been in operation for two years, is no more by trying – unsuccessfully – to visit its website. The current government has also abandoned the policy of its predecessors on reparations, and the Prime Minister’s remarks on this have been interpreted as a disapproval of Germany and Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
