The Polish Prime Minister lost, among others, along with the US president’s daughter Ivanka Trump (19), the American TV star Oprah Winfrey (21) and the British Queen Elizabeth II (26). However, the Polish Prime Minister was ahead of, among others, the American singer Beyonce (50) or the leader of the Burmese revolution, the current prime minister of this country, the Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi (33) and the former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton (65).
Valued at 500 plus
Forbes journalists praised Prime Minister Szydło for the “500 plus” program.
“The third woman to serve as Prime Minister of Poland. Szydło introduced reforms in education, healthcare, pensions and taxes. The main idea of her government was the “500 plus” program, under which parents receive PLN 500 a month for their second and subsequent children. More than 2.5 million families benefit from the program. The goal is to increase the birth rate. According to the Central Statistical Office, the population of Poland will decrease from the current 38.5 million to 34 million by 2050,” wrote the editors of “Forbes”.
No surprises on the podium
As for the podium in the Forbes ranking, there are no surprises. Angela Merkel has been in first place for seven years in a row. In total, she has topped the list 12 times. Right behind the German Chancellor is Theresa May, the British Prime Minister. The last place on the podium belongs to Melinda Gates, co-founder of the Gates Foundation, who is personally the wife of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who has donated more than $40 billion to charity.
