HamThurs – Rosenborg 1-1 (0-1)
There are high expectations for the return of Kjetil Rekdal to Hamar. The 53-year-old led HamKam to promotion last season, before signing for Rosenborg in December.
Initially, Rekdal’s old club should have put the ball into the net several times, but the HamKam players were unable to take advantage of the opportunities that existed. So did Sam Rogers from RBK, who managed to score against his old club.
– We were often beaten. We were lucky as 1-0 leaders, Rekdal told Eurosport after the round.
In the second half, HamKam’s massive pressure continued. 69 minutes, the visitors equalized after Kristian Eriksen broke through the midfield and scored 1 – 1.
Thus ended the «Rekdal derby» by sharing the points.
Delete message from Rekdal
Upon completion, the RBK manager made the following summary:
– That is a sad achievement. We had a bit of a grip after the break, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to build on the game. We will be at war with. Very weak performance, Rekdal notified Discovery after the game.
– It was surprising to see the difference between what we achieved at home and away. That is a very inappropriate point, he continued.
HamKam hero Eriksen thinks the team put in a heroic effort against Rosenborg.
– That’s very good. I think we deserved it today. I’ve been waiting a bit for the goal points and got them today. That’s great, Eriksen told Discovery.
– It’s a shame we didn’t get (the goal) in the first place. I think we made a really good game at home against Rosenborg. We showed once again that we are very hard to beat. We lacked the last thing to do and got the three points.
bonanza opportunity
HamKam started off the clear best finish and should have taken the lead after five minutes. Jonas Enkerud came alone with the RBK goalkeeper, but the striker’s finish went into the net.
Thus, Kjetil Rekdal and Rosenborg could breathe a sigh of relief.
Seven minutes later, HamKam’s Fredrik Sjølstad had a chance, but his effort was just past RBK’s goal. HamKam continued to create good chances and after 20 minutes it was Yuriy Yakovenko’s turn to take advantage of a good chance.
Breaking the silence about the sound Start: – I feel cheated
Despite HamKam’s golden opportunity, it was former HamKam player Sam Rogers who gave RBK the lead after a dream match.
Seven minutes before the break, Enkerud had a chance from ten meters, but André Hansen in the RBK goal was able to save it beautifully. Shortly after, Kristian Eriksen’s effort went into the wall and the HamKam players could hardly believe the ball didn’t go into the net.
– Anything but effective
Rosenborg started the second half better and quickly took control. It took only nine minutes before the hosts got a good goal opportunity. Kristian Eriksen served to Jonas Enkerud, but not in front of the former Elverum player’s goal.
After 61 minutes, midfielder Vetle Skjærvik put the ball outside from three yards.
– HamKam is completely ineffective today, that’s coming from commentator Asbjørn Myhre.
But after 69 minutes HamKam finally got the hole and of course Kristian Eriksen was the scorer.
The HamKam star stated this winter that he could envision a transfer to the Trondheim club, but HamKam have no interest in selling him.
Some goals never came and the team had to share the points at Hamar.
