Moyes finished at West Ham after the season ended
West Ham confirmed that David Moyes is finished as manager at the club after the season.
IN THE Press conference On Monday evening, the Premier League club wrote that Moyes and the club had agreed to end their partnership after four and a half years.
– I have really enjoyed working with everyone at West Ham, and would like to thank the board for giving me the opportunity to lead this fantastic club, said Moyes.
During his time at the London club, the 61 year old man, among other things, led them to victory in Serie A last season. It was West Ham’s first major trophy since winning the FA Cup in 1980.
– David has been responsible for a period in our history of great progress and success, and we are extremely grateful for his hard work, commitment and dedication to the role, said chairman David Sullivan.
With two games remaining this season, West Ham is in ninth place in the Premier League.
On Saturday, they play their final home game of the season against Luton. The club wrote that Moyes will get the respect he deserves from supporters with the fact that his dismissal has been announced.
At the same time as it was confirmed that Moyes was done at the club, the BBC and The Athletic wrote that Spaniard Julen Lopetegui would become the new manager at West Ham.
The 57-year-old must agree to the terms, but has so far not signed the papers. The Spanish coach has been unemployed since being sacked at Wolverhampton in August last year. (NTB/NRK)
