The Mother of the Year semifinal voting has started, so you have a unique opportunity to support your favorite and send it to the grand final. You can read which mothers made it to the semifinals this year in the July issue of Mothers. Today we present contestant Klára Vomáčková from the Mother Blogger category.
“I want to convey to other mothers the hope and confidence that their bodies will be in order after giving birth. As a physiotherapist, I work with women before, during and after pregnancy. I show them that pregnancy is not a disease and can practice during it, fighting pain and proper movements to also facilitate labour.”
“The recovery period after giving birth is full of myths, fears and unknown situations. I want to show women that everything is working! And their bodies can be healthy and functioning again!”
3 questions for mom
Why did you decide to enter the competition?
Login came as a good opportunity for me to be seen and thus get important information among women. After all, most women deal with problems of pregnancy, childbirth and the aftermath. The physiotherapy and information I share via the @fitandtasty profile can be of great help, or guide how to help yourself. I create a community of women who know where to look for information and also know that many things, for example, have other than operational solutions. Women’s education is what fills me up.
What does it mean to you to be a mother?
Being a mother is one of the most beautiful roles for me. I am happy that I feel love for the baby immediately after birth and I do not stop enjoying this period. On the other hand, of course, there is a constant fear of the little man who only exists in the world so briefly. Even though we have it, I haven’t forgotten my other roles. And this is the role of a physiotherapist, the role of a student (study phd), a wife … Being a mother, but the most fun.
To what extent has your motherhood been reflected in your blog?
While I don’t really want to turn blogs and instagram into baby themes, it naturally comes up a bit. I’m not dealing with clothing and snack choices, but things like when to seek physiotherapy and how to work with your body after delivery. I inspire women to take care of themselves because women tend to forget about themselves. So motherhood is clearly reflected in my work, but also original themes such as healthy movement, inspiration for exercise, physio’s views on women’s issues, called gynecological physiotherapy, remain.
