Impaired consciousness and cirrhosis of the liver, according to a new hospital report on Zeman’s condition

Two years ago, then-president Miloš Zeman was in serious health condition at the Central Military Hospital. The castle refused to provide detailed information about him at the time. List News has now obtained official documents describing the president’s condition at that time. It is said that Zeman suffered from cirrhosis of the liver and also impaired consciousness.

At Miloš Zeman’s request, former Minister of Health Roman Prymula made a report on his hospitalization at the Central Military Hospital. Zeman requested Prymul’s report because of a legal dispute between him and doctor Džamila Stehlíková. Seznam Zpravy knows the contents.

In a civil dispute, Miloš Zeman demands compensation for the fact that Stehlíková spoke openly about her health two years ago. For example, he said the president had a metabolic disorder due to alcoholic liver cirrhosis.

At that time, the castle did not provide enough information about Miloš Zeman’s health condition. Now, thanks to the lawsuit and Prymul’s report, it seems that events surrounding the president’s health are getting more complicated. The report will be discussed in court between Zeman and Stehlíková. Seznam Zpravám managed to read the last two pages where Prymula summarizes his conclusions.

Refusal of hospitalization and impaired consciousness

“11/4 GSC 15, Liver Cirrhosis.” “24. 11. Denial of further hospitalization,” Seznam Zpravy quoted them as saying about Zeman’s final days in hospital. Castle’s spokesman at the time, Jiří Ovčáček, stated after Zeman was immediately transferred to hospital that the president “expressed his consent to be hospitalized”.

After Miloš Zeman was transferred to the hospital, Chancellor Vratislav Mynář said that “Mr. President fell asleep during the transfer, nothing else. He did not faint.” Roman Prymula also wrote about disorders of consciousness in the document according to Seznam Zpráv: “October 10, 2021: Admission to KARIM (clinic of anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive medicine) for mild quantitative disorders of consciousness, severe disorders of nutrition and hydration.”

The next meeting in the dispute between the former president and doctor Stehlíková was supposed to take place a few days ago. However, due to the judge’s health condition, the meeting was postponed. Roman Prymula’s report with detailed medical documentation will be available to the court.
