For the first time in history, the May Day of Health took place at the Lodičky complex in the Božena Němcová Park in commemoration of World Hand Hygiene Day. And since the priority of the May Day of Health is trying to break the Czech record in mass hand disinfection, each visitor receives everything needed and a small gift upon entry. The record number of participants also increased exactly.
Věra Murínová, spokesperson for the Karviná-Ráj Hospital: “There should be more than 1,067 of us, which is the current record held by Ostrava University Hospital, and to motivate and attract people, we ask Marek Ztracený to join this event and support us. ”
Marek Ztracený, singer, Absolute Golden Nightingale 2021: “I’ve played here before, I think in 2009, it was good and useful. I love to race and when the offer comes, why not take a look at the people I love.”
Attempts to break the record for mass hand disinfection began fifteen minutes before 5pm, everyone anxiously waiting to see if the record was broken. And it worked.

A total of 2,045 people attended the record. The highlight of the whole event was the acoustic performance of Absolute Golden Nightingale in 2021 by Marek Ztracený.
