iQport ship: smart entertainment in the center of Prague

The most technologically advanced virtual reality, the most modern robots, the Titanic cabin simulating diving games or its movement. This is just a small list of what awaits visitors aboard iQport, Prague’s only experimental science park.

The ship is moored at the pier on the Rašín embankment near the Railway Bridge. It combines learning and information acquisition with entertainment and unforgettable experiences. In addition to basic knowledge across scientific fields, interesting facts and notes, here on an area of more than 700 m2 you will find almost a hundred exhibitions, including a large number of interactive ones.

Explore the world under a microscope and discover its smallest parts magnified thousands of times.

You will spend other entertaining moments immersed in topics such as Water World, Geology, Earth / World / Regions, Cosmos, Optical Illusions, Human Anatomy, Energy and Ecology, Mysteries of the World, Magical Prague or in Television and Recording Studios or Prima ZOOM cinema.

“On iQ port we left shortly after the opening and were very curious because we had already visited the Czech science center. We are so shocked. The interesting spaces of the ship combined with the wide variety of exhibits, as well as the variety of topics and exhibits, really caught our attention. Not only did our kids have fun, but my husband and I had a great time too. We return to childhood and find joy within ourselves,” said one of the ship’s visitors, Andrea Procházková.

The tilted cabin, which imitates the sinking of the Titanic, is a big hit with visitors.

Entries in the Visitor’s Book located on board attest to the quality of the entire park. It features reviews such as “smart and excellent entertainment for young and old alike”, visitors write that the wonderful experience exceeded their expectations or that they don’t even regret traveling from further afield in the Czech Republic.

And even those who have already “sailed” in the sea of information on iQport and want to visit it again, will not be deprived. Organizers, supported by the interest they encounter, continue to increase the number of exhibitions. Since the beginning of August, the already mentioned electronic motion games were added.

You will train your brain while solving various riddles and riddles. There is also a legendary hedgehog in a cage.

“About the idea of expanding iQ port we miss the attraction of movement when we see how much life there is here. Children and adults alike seemed to be having a great time, obviously there was no place like that in Prague until recently. We saw great interest, on the most open days, up to eight hundred people taking turns with us. This gave us the inspiration to make iQport even more attractive,” explained Richard Fuxa, one of the project’s authors, adding that the changes did not come at the expense of other parts.
