The investment coin, on which the achievements of the last fifty years of the United Arab Emirates are immortalized, was minted at the Czech Mint in Jablonec nad Nisou. Ahmed Sultan bin Sulayem, executive president and CEO of the Dubai Commodity Center DMCC, came to the printer to personally supervise the first press. He also personally minted a new series of gold and silver investment coins.
“The coin relief reflects the achievements that the United Arab Emirates has achieved. The portrait of President Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan is complemented by a depiction of the Louvre Abu Dhabi museum, giving the emirate the stamp of a world cultural destination. The other coins feature UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the newest Museum of the Future,” describes a spokesperson for the Czech Mint Lenka Klimentova.
New gold and silver coins will be available for purchase in the UAE after the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
During the visit, Ahmed Sultan bin Sulayem also visited the local mint and production facilities, where in addition to the Czech currency, a number of collector and investment coins made of precious metals were also minted. During his visit, he confirmed the long-term partnership between one of the world’s largest free trade zones and the Czech Mint, which is opening a branch in Dubai in 2022.” added the Czech Mint marketing manager Jaroslav Cerny.
