Track star Jakob Ingebrigtsen (22) is not only not only one of the best track and field athletes in Norway, but he is also at the top of the world rankings.

Jakob raced across the finish line and claimed WC gold despite his body ache.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen caused a stir abroad

Jakob Ingebrigtsen once had a mixed championship.

It was a success on track, but off the track caused controversy after a family argument with his father Gjert.

His brother Henrik was also involved in a controversy with Narve Gilje Nordås after receiving comments from Nordås.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen did not allow himself to be swayed by this, and in the end took the gold.

SVT track and field commentator Jakob Hård praised the young star.

Hård believes not many people in Sweden are bitter about Norway’s success.

– I have never heard of anyone being jealous and resentful of the Norwegians, but quite the opposite. Jakob showed him the way.
