Norwegian biathlete Johannes Dale (25) from Lillestrøm has been part of Norway’s elite national biathlon team since 2018.
Dale has shown very good results this year, and is one of the few who managed to beat the biathlon king Johannes Things Bø in this season’s World Cup.

However, on Monday this week, the 25-year-old player shared a sad message.
In a post on Instagram, Dale said that his grandfather had passed away. Someone who means a lot in life and career.
The article continues under the pictures.
Lost my grandfather
“Dear grandfather. Now you’ve seen your last ski race, we’ve taken our last boat trip, and you can enjoy the world’s longest lunch break. The man who never said no, and who always stood up no matter what. A role model, and someone who means a lot in my life, and in my career,” he wrote and continued:
“The loss will be great but I will never forget all we have done,” Dale wrote in the post along with a carousel of photos of the two together.
At the end of March, the ski star said that now that the season was coming to a close, she and her fiancé were leaving Kristina Skjevdal marry.
The wedding will take place in four days, on April 15 in Røros.
We extend our deepest condolences to Johannes and the entire family. It hurts so much to lose people close to us.
