Klopp praised Rashford ahead of Sunday’s Premier League meeting
On Sunday, big clubs Liverpool and Manchester United meet at Anfield.
At a press conference on Friday, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp had kind words to say about United’s star player.
– That said, it’s impossible to feel good about anything at Manchester United as Liverpool manager, Klopp started, according to Sky Sports and continued:
– But I’m really happy for Rashford, because he had a very difficult year last year where he didn’t perform at the level he could. I know that can change. Sometimes in life there is not enough time for that but now he is absolutely extraordinary, said Klopp.
Rashford has 25 goals and 9 assists in 39 games in all competitions this season. The 25-year-old has scored in nine of the last ten Premier League matches, wrote NTB.
– His pace, his technique, his mix of everything, how calm he is in front of goal, he scores simple goals, world class goals, uses his head and everything, the German is praising.
It will be a tough battle for crucial points on Sunday, as United are only eleven points behind leaders Arsenal.
For Liverpool, it is six points to an important fourth place that gives the opportunity to play in the Champions League next season.
