I remember everything minute by minute, it was a magical and wonderful experience that is impossible to forget. I took the train with Queen Elizabeth and President Walesa to Windsor Castle. There, Elizabeth II hosted a party in honor of the Polish president. And then we spent the night at Windsor Castle, where Prince Harry had his wedding a few years ago. The queen is very well groomed, just as we imagined the queen to be. Perfectly styled hair, fragrant, with subtle make-up, exquisitely matched jewellery. And then in the castle, she wore a different dress each time. This formal attire, with bespoke and crown jewels, adds to her splendor, but even without it she has an inherent and authentic majesty. As soon as he entered, the man immediately tensed up to guess what he wanted. It was clear that she was aware that she was the queen of the empire. I had the impression that he felt it with every cell of his body and that he was felt by other people too. He evokes respect just because of her. He didn’t need to say anything else. Everyone felt that she was central and most important – remembering Lech Wałęsa’s visit to Queen Elizabeth II in 1991, sworn translator Krzysztof Litwiński. The king’s biographers have always emphasized that although this role fell to him unexpectedly, Elizabeth II has always remained true to tradition. It took a lot of sacrifice.
