The vaccination center at Olympia di Brno, where those interested in vaccinations can come without registration, will be closed from next Monday. People have their last chance to get vaccinated at this center next weekend. The centre, which is under St. Hospital. Anne, has been operating for seven months, and medical staff have administered more than 72,000 vaccines.

“The interest in vaccination has decreased since the end of January, in the last week less than a hundred people came to Olympia per day,” hospital director explained Vlastimil Vajdak. At the beginning of the year, the demand was still high, on Friday, January 7th, most people came to be vaccinated during the entire operation period.

Vaccination sites are busy even in the fall, when people queue for hours to get vaccines at shopping malls. Medical workers even have to face verbal attacks and aggression.

Starting in March, only the St. Hospital’s second vaccination site. Anne, located at the Millennium Center in the center of Brno, will operate. “We also opened a vaccination center in Millennium for unregistered people every weekday from eight to two in the afternoon,” said the head of the vaccination center Pavla Urbanková and he added that starting next week, the first Nuvaxovid vaccine from the company Novavax will also be available there.

Residents of Brno can now be vaccinated without registration at the Brno University Hospital, Bohéma Vaccination Center or Bluedent in Slatina. The large-capacity vaccination center at the Brno exhibition center ceased operations at the end of last August.
