World athletics was recently shocked by the incredible timing of Femka Bolová, who was able to break Jarmila Kratochvílova’s year-old world record from the hall. Lada Vondrorová and Tereza Petržilková also commented on the appearance of the opponent who will now compete with the phenomenal Dutch woman at the European Indoor Championships (HME).
The women’s 400 meters at the European Indoor Championships in Istanbul this year will be very spicy. It will also feature the current indoor world record holder Femke Bolová.
The Dutch runner managed an astonishing time of 49.26 in the domestic championships, breaking the world record of nearly forty-one year old Jarmila Kratochvílova (49,59).
“It’s not real, it’s just fantasy. It’s an honor for me even to race with such a star and I think a time like that will be tough to overcome in the heat.,” Tereza Petržilková, who recently improved her personal record on Thursday to 52.19 and hit the HME cap, was not giving credit.
Petržilková rated Bolová’s record:
“It’s crazy but according to the time, you could have expected her to crash. I’m glad Femke did it. I wish her all the best, she’s just unreal,” said Lada Vondrová, whose record-setting European Championships will also be presented in 400 meter race.
It was Vondrová who recently improved his personal record 51.57 and would also belong to a wider circle of favorites. But the greatest is undoubtedly Femke Bolová. “I know him personally. I was already running with him when he started, I’m still doing four hundred hurdles. He was great, until now he greets me everywhere during races, as if we are slowly becoming best friends,” added the 23-year-old Czech runner with a smile.
